How long have you been in business?
I have been a veterinarian for 32 years. I opened this practice 4 years ago.
What is your primary product or service?
Westside Pet Hospital is a full service veterinary clinic offering health care examinations, internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, in house laboratory and radiology services. We also offer alternative medicine.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I became interested in veterinary medicine at an early age. My family had horses, cattle and a goat. Medicine fascinates me. I enjoy exploring the mysteries of why my patients aren't feeling well and the challenge of making them healthy again.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We differentiate ourselves from other practices in three ways. The first is to make the client's and the pet's visit as stress free as possible. We are a Certified Cat Friendly Practice and extend the same courtesy to our dog clients as well. The second distinction is client communication. We respond to all client calls in a timely fashion, give informative handouts about issues we have discussed and take the time to discuss client concerns and options. The third distinction is we offer alternative medicine which includes acupuncture, Chinese Herbal therapy, classical homeopathy, and food therapy. Integrative medicine offers solutions to many chronic conditions that don't respond well to conventional medicine.
